Question by Meredith R: How long does it take to install wheels?
I am taking my car to the dealership Saturday to have aftermarket wheels installed. The current wheels have a tire pressure sensor on them that they have to switch over to the new wheels. How long should it take to have them put the new wheels on? I plan to wait at the dealership but I don't want to be there all day. I wouldn't think it would take very long. Thanks!
I have an appointment.

Depends on their workload. If they gave you an appointment, arrive early, and when it's your time as long as they aren't backed up they should get right to it. Shouldn't take longer than an hour.

Allot of new cars come with these sensors and they aren’t that difficult to switch over but it all depends on if the rims already have pre-installed tires on them as for this will take up some time as well. You are probably looking at around 1- 1 1/2 hours depending on how busy they are. good luck.
the actual job itself maybe 1hour . It’s how long your car is waiting to get serviced that will be the issue.
Talk to the service advisor and let them know you are waiting, and maybe they can give you a better expectation of when it will be done so you can go catch a movie, or maybe bump you up.
