Um, the new M3 has over 400 hp and still the base vette beats it 0-60 and in the 1/4.
Slalom speed is irrelevant, Mustang GT .5mph faster, put them both on a race track, then we’ll see which one is faster. We’re talking about a car than can go around a track quicker than any BMW, Audi, Caymans, 911′s, Dodge SRT10, and they mention a Mustang GT…??? . . Hahaha, is that a joke Edmunds?? Get real.

i’m german and we have a lot of great sports cars but it wouldn’t take me long to decide which car to get if likei said i had the means to buy one, the overall package that vettes deliver for their price is simply amazing and unheard of among any competitor in this type of class.

I have owned 6 vettes 78,96,99,07,08, and 08 zo6 love them all the 08 m6 base model ran a 12.28 at 119mph bone stock and cost $42000 and got 31mpg at 80mph my 07 a6 1lt cost $40000 I put 70000 miles on it sold it for $34000 my 96 bought it with 74000 miles on it sold it to a friend now it has 165000 miles on it

I guess I’m lucky then… My 2007 has 49,000 miles without one single issue. Also, I’ve been modded for over 20k miles too. My Uncle has a 2005 C6 with over 90k miles without any problems either… He’s an outside salesman & drives it cross country. I would have thought his 05′ being the first year & his current mileage would be loaded with problems but nope. We both race our vette’s too, so it’s not like we baby them. Maybe other’s haven’t been so lucky but, we couldn’t be happier

LOL @ dre5491. Reliable my ass. the new Vette’s have the worst electrical gremlins out of any Vette to date. From charging systems, ignitions, gauge clusters to the stupid electric exterior door handles. It’s not the I like one car or another. My issue is when are people gonna realise no motter what it is it’s going to have issues at some point.
