or use the modern designs with the old engine? i wish they still made cars where you could literally stand in the engine bay to work on the car and it wasn’t all computers.. it was simple to do your own mechanical work and the cars were more reliable… modern cars have more electronics than it really needs…..
no, vipers are still expensive as fuck. you CAN buy a cheap one but it wont sell because no one will want the low end model
This is ok for a Caddilac, but not for a Vette. I hope they don’t do this to the Vette. The Vette’s design should be going forward not backward, it has always been about looking to the future. The nicest thing about the Vette is the low hood and sharp nose. Don’t turn it into a pug.
Look at the Viper. It was expensive as hell when it came out. Now? You can get one for like $30k> if you really look. No good resale value which affects future production to the consumer.
Thanks. I just see it that way. I am 100% total Toyota boy, but I respect and like old mustangs, corvettes and the stingray (if you don’t want to call it a vette). But seriously, I see what they are trying to do, but they sold enough vettes as it were before this mark up. They are getting too damn greedy and no matter what, they should keep new vettes under an amount, and make specials up there, like how Ford does with the GT, and they could use that for Stingray in price.
well they’ve redone the camaro, challenger, mustang, charger, it was only a matter of time before corvette stepped up to the tribute to the old lineage and made in my opinion a badass fucking futuristic car. it makes all the other neo/retro cars look like shit. that car looks like it would break the time continuum, while still having the stingray feel to it, genius.

Very nice areodynamically, however the car looks too damn heavy, and with the Z06, why would they go back and try to bring back the stingray? Why would the public want to buy this vs any other new corvette? If they shoot over $100k, who are they trying to get to buy it? Because you can get a REAL exotic for the same price. Last time I checked Mercedes Exotics (in comparing prices) vs Chevy Exotic, the Mercedes was more popular amongst those who can afford such cars.
What a waste of resources. GM is so out of touch it’s laughable. If you want to sell cars, bring back a 1969 stingray, panel for panel, and drop a modern engine under the hood.
